What is a Torque Wrench?

Torque wrench is a type of wrench that is used to apply a specific torque on nuts and bolts for tightening. This prevents the extra tightening of nuts and bolts and they work for a longer time. Mostly torque wrenches are used in auto repair shops and generally used to tight the wheel lug nuts.


It is defined as the tool that is used to tight nuts and bolts at a specified torque value. When nuts and bolts are tighten at their specified torque value then their chance of failure is negligible.
